In dealing only with employee benefit plans we have built-in efficiency in place. This allows us to charge 40%
less thanmost of our clients’ previous year’s fees.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
James Lee is the founder of Lee CPA Audit Group. James is a graduate of University of California at Santa Barbara and has earned a B.A. in Business Economics and Accounting. Prior to starting his own firm, James has spent twelve years in public accountancy working for KPMG and several other prominent regional and local CPA firms where he gained broad experience in all facets of auditing and accounting.
James has overseen hundreds of employee benefit plan audits. These plans include 401(k), 403(b), profit sharing, ESOP, money purchase, defined benefit pension and health & welfare plans.

Lee CPA Audit Group has committed to the highest auditing standards by joining the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center for CPA firms.
The Center is a national community of CPA firms that demonstrate a commitment to employee benefit plan audit quality and is designed to raise awareness about the importance of ERISA audits. The AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center membership provides its members with access to a wealth of comprehensive resources in quality employee benefit plan audits.
As a member of the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, we are committed to perform the highest quality audits possible. We demonstrate our commitment by voluntarily agreeing to adhere to the Center's significant membership requirements, including designating a partner to be responsible for our employee benefit plan audit practice, establishing quality control programs, performing annual internal inspection procedures, and participating in a peer review program.
Our Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center membership provides us timely information on a variety of technical, legislative and regulatory subjects. We can then apply these resources to our clients' employee benefit plan audits to help ensure that they are in compliance with the appropriate standards and changes in regulation. Our Center membership will help us to respond nimbly to new standards and requirements to ensure we deliver the most efficient and highest quality audits possible.
In addition, our Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate demonstrates our capabilities and competencies surrounding employee benefit plan audit engagements.
We are also members with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

PEER REVIEW
Lee CPA Audit Group is a member of the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center Section of the AICPA. The firm undergoes a professional peer review by an independent CPA firm every three years. Peer review is a periodic outside review of a firm’s system of quality control for accounting and auditing services. The CPA Peer Review Program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of accounting, auditing and attestation services performed by CPA’s in public practice. Lee CPA Audit Group has participated in the peer review program since the inception of peer review. In addition, the firm maintains a stringent quality control program in all areas of client services.
